Classification of corrugated plastics cake base
Plastic Corrugated Dessert Boards: These are unique boards that have a specific function in mind. Most of them are small, so they can hold a single cupcake or dessert.
Polypropylene Cake Drums: Drums refer to thicker cake boards, either 1/4″ or 1/2″, since they must have a double wall corrugated construction. These can also be used in between tiers of a cake for extra support.
PP Corrugated Cake Circles: A cake circle is a round cake board that is typically thin in construction, about 1/8”.
Danpla Sheet Cake Pads: Similar to cake circles, cake pads are an economical choice designed to hold rectangular sheet cakes. These pads are also thin, with double wall corrugated construction.

Environmental performance – Cardboard base is the mainstream of the cake market at present, but it consumes a lot of resources and is not the best choice in the long run. The corrugated pp sheets cake board is recyclable and recyclable.
Process – For PP hollow boards, since the raw materials are food grade, the board can be directly extruded and cut into shape. The cardboard needs some processing in the later stage, and it also needs to apply the oil-draining waterproof film layer, and the process is more complicated.
